Ashgrove moves are shaped by steep ridgelines, mature tree canopies and a large number of high-set character homes. Around Ashgrove Avenue, Stewart Road and Coopers Camp Road, elevated driveways, limited kerb space and roadside trees mean the truck's position has to be worked out before loading begins.
Many Ashgrove Queenslanders sit well above ground level, so a move can involve long staircases, verandah landings and narrow internal hallways. Large furniture, antiques, electronics and family heirlooms get the right lifting technique and reinforced padding, and our crews take their time on the stairs.
Newer family homes and townhouses bring their own challenges, including multi-level floorplans, narrow access points and large household inventories. We load in a planned order and protect walls, floors and finishes as we go.
Traffic matters too. Congestion around Marist College Ashgrove, Mt St Michael's College and the commuter routes into Waterworks Road means timing counts, so we schedule arrivals and departures around school peaks.
Every move is handled by an experienced crew trained for steep, inner-city residential access. For how we work across the rest of the city, see our moving company in Brisbane page.
Whether the move stays on Ashgrove's ridgelines or heads just south to the steep hillside streets of neighbouring Bardon, our crews apply the same standard of property protection.
