Herston is one of Brisbane's more demanding places to move, with steep terrain, high-density housing, hospital-precinct activity and tight inner-city access. Around Bowen Bridge Road, Herston Road, Butterfield Street, Bramston Terrace and the residential ridges behind them, we regularly deal with steep driveways, limited loading zones, restricted street parking and constant commuter activity.
The housing mix includes elevated workers' cottages, traditional character homes, newer apartments and student accommodation. Moving full household inventories, designer furniture, appliances and electronics up elevated staircases, through apartment lifts, security-controlled entries and narrow hallways takes disciplined lifting and real care for the property. We plan the carry route and truck position before the day, not on it.
Traffic matters most around the RBWH precinct, the Herston Busway Station, the UQ Faculty of Medicine campus and the approaches to the Inner City Bypass. Emergency vehicle access, shift changes, bus movements and commuter congestion all affect timing, so we schedule moves to avoid the worst of it.
Whether we're working along Herston's hillside streets or handling a move with our nearby Bowen Hills crew, the same standard of property protection applies.
